YMS school trip!

Hi my name is Alex and today I am going to tell you about my whole school trip! Yesterday we went to and orchestra and then the whole school walked to margaret mahy playground and we had lunch there and got to play on the playground! There were lot's of seagulls there and my best friend paige who sat on the bus with me fed the seagulls. My favourite tune that they played at the orchestra was the harry potter one! Have you ever been to and orchestra or been to margaret mahy. We got to see the orchestra in real life!

My Favourite Movie.

Hi, my name is Alex and today I am going to tell you all about my favourite movie. My favourite movie is Hotel Transylvania 3. Hotel Transylvania 3 has four main characters. Those four characters are Captain Ercia, her dad, Count Dracula, and his daughter. The movie is based on Captain Erica trying to hurt Count Dracula, but in the end they started to like each other at the end of the movie everyone on the cruise was invited to a party. My amazing holidays!

Hi my name is Alex and today I am going to tell you all about what I did in the holidays. On Saturday I had a big bom fire and we burnt our burn pile. We invited a lot of people to our bom fire. We had a BBQ and toasted marshmallows when the fire had died down. Me and my friends got really scared of the humongous fire so we ran into the house and turned the tv on. After a few minutes of watching tv on of my friends sister came in and told us that everyone was toasting marshmallows. winter fun day!!

Hello bloggers, my name is Alex and today I am going to tell you all about winter fun day! All the year four's went skiing and all the year threes wents ice skating. I went ice skating but next year I'm going skiing because I'm going to be a year four! At the end of ice skating we had ice skating lessons! I was a really good ice skater because I have been ice skating for four years now! We were there for almost the whole day and it was really fun. At the end of ice skating some people went home straight away with their parents and some went home on the bus. I went on the bus back to school and then my mum came to pick me and my brother johnny up!

Hello, my name is Alex and today I am going to tell you all about digi awards. For digi awards we had to design a game that could entertain kids at wet and rainy playtimes! Once we had finished making our game we  videoed an advert for our game and our teacher put them on youtube. We were in teams and in my team it was me Dylan and Nishka. We have finished our game and it is on youtube. We couldn't  copy a game that was already invented so we had to think of our own game. My groups game was called stairs and slides ( it is a bit like snakes and ladders )

My cup art

Hi, my name is Alex and today I am going to tell you all about my cup I sketched!  I made it with my teacher Miss Munro. First we had to make a curved line and then we had to draw a line underneath the curved line attach it to the curve. Then we had to draw two little dots at the bottom of the piece of paper and draw two lines from the curved line to the little dots, after that we had to draw a line under  the little dots.💕  To do the handle we had to do a big curve and then a  curved line down the bottom ( it's kind of like the BFG's ear ) then after, I did that I had to turn it so that the handle so it was facing up and we had to colour in down the bottom really dark. On the top we had to draw really lightly to get different shades.

When I went skiing at mount lyford!

Hello, my name is Alex and today a I am going to tell you all about when I went skiing at Mount Lyford. To start of with there isn't a chairlift there but there are two pommers. One pommer is really steep when you go up it and it is like a chairlift because you go up really high and the slope you go down is really steep!  I went on a T bar with my mum and the slope you go down on the T bar meets up to the slope that the big pommer goes on and  you get to go on the big pommer slope again. 😍

My awesome holiday!

Hello readers, today I am going to tell you all about my awesome holidays!

In the holidays I went to Mount Hutt. I had to wake up really early because my mum and dad didn't want to spend agers looking for a park, but no matter how early we got up we always had to spend a couple of minutes looking. But when we did find a park we got out of the car and put on all are gare.

We had to carry are skis up to the ski field, and once we were up there we put on our skis and we would go to the tunnel that carried us up to the top of the ski field! Once I went up the tunnel a few times my mum told me to start doing some turning, and after doing some turning my mum said that I could go on the chair lift with my sister and my Dad. It was really fun going on the chair lift and going down the big slope but I fell over a lot and stopped a lot but my dad always stopped with me.

Hi readers, this week we have been writing information writing. A lot of people chose to write about dogs but I wanted o write about netball. I hope you like my writing!


NetbalI is a team game: It helps you get together, we pass to each other and we have partners in positions.

You have lots of fun with other people. You play against other teams. Sometimes you win and sometimes you don’t. It’s for all ages, boys and girls can play!

Netball helps you exercise: you stretch your  muscles, your legs get stronger and your arms get  exercise. Before you play netball you do some warm up stretches to get you muscles warm. It stretches your arms and legs! You do some warm up stretches like bum kick to a line and back twice. Another warm up is circling around our partners all the way to the line and back once.  

Netball helps your shooting get better: Your  shooting gets better. There are two different shooting positions goal attack and goal shoot, and you are the one who gets all the goals in your team!

Netball is really fun, so if you ever get the chance to play it you should join in! My favourite position is goal attack because you can shoot lots!:)
